Pompano Seafood Festival

The 33rd Annual POMPANO BEACH SEAFOOD FESTIVAL is On The Beach, April 28-30. It is one of South Florida’s longest running and most popular outdoor festivals and 2017 is shaping up to be another great weekend.  “This is such a classic event celebrating why we all live in Florida,” says Festival manager John Good. “It is a magnificent setting on the beach at Atlantic Boulevard and literally offers something for everybody from kids to seniors. Great food, shopping and music along the ocean. That is hard to beat.”

It’s all about the seafood and this year’s festival offers more Seafood Vendors, with more varied menus. No matter what kind of seafood you like, or how you like it prepared, you are sure to find it. “We have a mix of our most popular long-time vendors along with several new vendors offering some new twists this year,” says Good. “All the food vendors are in one long row this year and it‘s going to be a fun stroll along Pompano Beach Boulevard to decide where to start. Be sure to take your time to check out all that is available.” Of course, there is plenty of non-seafood dishes and lots of treats.

Over 160 arts and crafts booths are set along Atlantic Blvd and Pompano Beach Blvd. The beachfront has been completely redeveloped over the last few years, making for a beautiful setting and an eclectic group of vendors offer everything from art to jewelry to clothing, to local services and everything in between.

Music continues to be a major focal point, anchored by rock Superstars “America” on Saturday night and featuring many of South Florida’s most popular bands. There are three stages, with more than thirty bands scheduled. Friday night on the north (Main) Stage is the fabulous Beatles Tribute Band “Across the Universe”. Throughout the weekend are top local bands with a mix of rock, blues, country, reggae and more. On Saturday, the Isle Casino South stage features Journey, Rush / Guns& Roses, and Tom Petty Tribute bands back to back.
