Donny G
Donny G - One Man Band

My passion for music was set in motion at the early age of 4, which eventually ended up laying the foundation for my dream career. It all started with private guitar lessons which lead to years of professional vocal training and an intricate study of complex notation, composition, and musical theory classes. Not long thereafter, I began learning and excelled in the playing of multiple instruments including drums, bass, piano, and a few others.

I have performed at numerous private events and public venues professionally for many years, including but not limited to the Blue Martini, the World Famous Elbo Room, Briny Irish Pub, Marriott Harbor Beach Resort, Downtown Fort Lauderdale, Riverfront, World of Beer, Downtown Clematis, and 'Headlined' at Florida's Orlando Music Fest. I've done studio work with a number of the industries most creative musicians and not long ago was voted "Best Solo Performer" by lTB. As a teenager, I sang a solo at Wayne Huizenga's daughter's wedding as well as the National Anthem at a Miami Dolphins game. My current repertoire consists of 800+ songs from 100+ Artists/Bands, giving me the means and material to entertain any audience or gathering, regardless of age, covering all genres of music.

I specialize in performing at weddings, corporate events, birthdays, graduations, holiday parties, fundraisers and many other private functions.

Music truly runs through me and I constantly eat, sleep, and breathe it every single day of my life!

Bruja is a fun and hardworking South Florida bands that plays Classic Rock, Blues, and Reggae music, but also offers original material as well.

When it comes to Bruja, the main draw is the various musical influences Jorge has been exposed to as a guitarist, allowing for a wide range of musical styles to be interpreted by the band. Some of the main influences Jorge had were Albert King, T-Bone Walker, Clapton, Hendrix, Santana, Gilmour and Jerry Garcia. The band's repertoire also sets it aside from other local bands, ranging from Blues, to Rock and Reggae, and even a little funk, which allows it to cater to a larger audience demographic. some of the artists Bruja covers are The Grateful Dead, Led Zeppelin, Santana, The Doors, Pink Floyd, Jack Johnson, Ben Harper, Sublime, Chili Peppers, Muddy Waters, John Lee Hooker, Albert King, and more.

However, it's the original music which has been very well received, that sets the band aside from other bands in the area. At regular local venues, friends and fans regularly yell out asking to hear the original material, which is the best feeling in the world. The music ranges from straight blues shuffles, like in "Save My Soul", to a more traditional Blues Rock anthem about loving the simple things in life called "Jack Daniel's Blues", to Reggae-Rock fusions like "Tomorrow Never Comes", in which you can hear some Jerry Garcia influenced guitar work over a reggae groove, to a grittier, swampier groove like "Try To Love", reminiscent of The Black Keys. Other songs "like Roots", have more of a Grunge Rock feel, played in Drop D tuning, and offering more personal lyrics as a reminder of our own mortality and the world we live in today. Come see a show and check out some of our originals first hand!

We're not very focused ... the "rule" of the band is to only play songs that we wrote or love or an audience member wants to hear. There's enough material there to choose from. We come to play, usually dividing an evening into two sets with a short intermission or playing straight through for shorter shows. 2017, we released our debut CD, "Look UP" with 12 original songs. We usually play in Broward or Palm Beach Counties but go up the coast and soon, across to Ft. Myers....
