In March of 2020, the annual Coral Springs Festival of the Arts (CSFOA) was cancelled, just one week prior to the scheduled weekend event due to the emergency “Shelter at Home” order and related public safety mandates implemented by State, County, and Municipal government agencies to cancel social or public gatherings that exceed 10 people. In the Fall, with the expectation that a vaccine would be available by year-end 2020, the Organizing Committee made the decision to plan for the Festival to be held in March 2021.
Advance preparation for the Festival is critical since it takes many months of preparation and hundreds of
volunteer hours to facilitate this event.
Over the last week, the Committee has been speaking with Howard Alan Events and City of Coral Springs officials to review and discuss the viability of holding the event in March of 2021. All parties participating in the discussions agree that public safety is a top priority.
We are now within 60 days of the proposed Festival date and with Covid numbers increasing, new
variants of the virus emerging, the number of deaths increasing and the vaccination process only just
beginning, it has become apparent that having a large-scale event in March is not in the interest of public
safety. Therefore, the Organizing Committee has formally announced that the 16th annual Coral Springs
Festival of the Arts will be rescheduled until March 19-20, 2022. It is the Committee’s sincere hope that
public health conditions will have improved sufficiently over the next 14 months to permit public cultural
and entertainment events to resume normal operations.
Given that the Coral Springs Festival of the Arts is a not-for-profit organization that is funded purely by
donations and sponsorships, the Organizing Committee is very grateful to the generous sponsors and
donors who have contributed generously to facilitate the event over the last 15 years. In particular, the
Committee genuinely appreciates the continued public loyalty and financial support of the Coral Springs
Festival of the Arts, which remains the largest cultural event in Northwest Broward County. Especially in
view of the current pandemic conditions, the CSFOA acknowledges and applauds the continued support
and financial commitment of these partners, without whom the event would not exist.
We look forward to seeing everyone at the Coral Springs Festival of the Arts on March 19-20, 2022.
The Coral Springs Festival of the Arts is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) corporation dedicated to raise awareness
of the arts and culture in northwest Broward, and to entertain, educate and inspire its attendees. This
event is partially funded by the Broward County Board of Commissioners as recommended by the
Broward Cultural Council.

Festival of the Arts Boca goes virtual for 2021
Festival of the Arts Boca 2021 will be held March 5-14, 2021 but will be unlike any festival they have held during the previous 14 years. Organizers promise to bring some of the world’s finest performers and artists, authors and thinkers, but this year all events are virtual, and all events are free! Virtual attendees must reserve seats online as if they were attending in person and are requested to make donations to help organizers offset some of the costs nonetheless.
