Prepare to be scared when the Margate Chamber of Commerce opens 13 rooms of fear next month in the Chamber 13 Haunted House. Zombies, crazy clowns, monsters and a pathway of insanity await!
It’s happening in downtown Margate at the Chevy Chase Plaza on the corner of Margate Boulevard and State Road 7. A specially constructed haunted house designed by Christopher Babinec – an authority on the ghostly experience – will feature 13 hair-raising rooms guaranteed to amaze, frighten and spook even the bravest of souls. He calls it Makena Manor.
“Prepare yourself for chaos and terror as you make your way through 13 rooms of fear. Will you survive? We dare you to join us,” Babinec says eerily.
For younger children and families looking for something “not so scary”, the master of the Manor has created a matinee attraction equally as fun and less shocking.
Chamber 13 will open Friday October 4 and run through October 31. Times are 6-11 pm Friday to Sunday with matinees at 4-5:30 pm. Admission is $10 per person and $5 for children ages 3-12 attending matinees.
Get $1 off admission when bringing a non-perishable food item or wearing pink in support of breast cancer awareness. Pie a clown in the face for a dollar. Free Goodie Bags while they last.
Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult. Parents attending matinees with children will not be charged admission.
