The City of Coconut Creek is pleased to present the 2023 edition of ArtsFest, a family fun day of fine art, entertainment and food trucks on Saturday, September 9th from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM at the Community Center located at 1100 Lyons Road. Local artists will be showing off their artwork, arts and crafts for the kids, entertainment and live bands, food trucks and much more. This annual event supports the Coconut Creek Multicultural Club.
The event is free to the public and all ages are welcome, however no pets are permitted.
2023 Theme country: Mexico.
Mexican traditional art is a vibrant fusion of indigenous symbolism, religious themes, and Spanish colonial influences. It encompasses pottery, weaving, and paper-cutting with intricate designs and lively colors. Iconic symbols like calaveras and the Virgin of Guadalupe hold significant cultural meaning. Murals, especially those by Diego Rivera, depict historical events and social struggles. Mexican art exemplifies the nation’s rich heritage and creativity, reflecting a harmonious blend of diverse cultural elements.
