Deerfield Beach Pioneer Days

Beginning Friday, February 14th and continuing through Sunday the 16th, the City of Deerfield Beach celebrates its roots with its’ annual three day festival featuring arts and crafts, food vendors, live entertainment and a parade which concludes with a grand fireworks show.  Pioneer Days (formerly called Founders’ Days), has something to offer every member of the family with carnival rides, arts & crafts vendors,  a parade, a beach tiki bar, lots of food vendors and let’s not forget Live Music!

Saturday Morning Parade

Saturday morning at 10:00 AM, the parade will begin at Pioneer Park (501 NE Eller Street)  and will head East on Hillsborough Boulevard, then North on A1A, past the pier and then South along the beach.  The parade will include many local schools, businesses and not-for-profit organizations. Following the parade there will be an awards ceremony at the beach.

Retired NFL Running Back Willis McGahee will be this year’s Pioneer Days Parade Grand Marshal.

Join us at our NEW Family Fun Zone Parade Watch Party location at The Cove Shopping Center Parking Lot. The Family Fun Zone will offer free face-painting, free snow cones, free popcorn, free cotton candy and fun games for the family to enjoy!

The following is the road closure detail for the event.

•        US1 will be closed at SE 10 St and NE 2 St

•        Hillsboro Blvd eastbound will be closed at NE 2 Ave

•        Hillsboro Blvd westbound will be closed at A1A

•        A1A will be closed at NE 7 St and SE 3 St

Carnival Hours & Pricing

Friday (5:00pm – 10:00pm)

Saturday (1:00pm – 10:00pm)

Sunday (11:00am – 6:00pm)

Purchase tickets at Carnival entrance.   $1 per ticket or $20 for 24 tickets. Wristbands will be sold for $20 each on Sunday between the hours of 11am and 4pm.

Where to Park?

Deerfield Beach FestivalSince the event is set up at the Main Beach Parking Lot, except for minimal Handicap Parking, there will not be any public parking available at the event site. Instead, visitors are invited to park at four free parking lots with available shuttle service running continuously between both parking lots and the festival with the following schedule:
Friday 4:30pm-11pm

Saturday Noon-11pm

Sunday 10am-6pm

The Cove Parking Lot:  On Hillsboro Blvd, travel east of Federal Highway (US1) and just before the intracoastal bridge turn right into the The Cove.

The St. Ambrose’ School Parking Lot:  On Hillsboro Blvd, travel east of Federal Highway (US1), then turn right at 12th Avenue.  The parking lot will be on your right at 336 SE 12th Avenue

OMRC: 445 SW 2nd St in front of the gym

Century Village: 2400 Century Village Blvd

Please note: The bridge will close at 9:30 am on February 16th to vehicular traffic due to the parade and reopen following conclusion of the parade.
