Join Riverwalk Fort Lauderdale and The City of Fort Lauderdale as we Light Up Lauderdale at the annual Get Lit event on Thursday, November 9, 2023. This event is the first kick-off to the holiday season in Fort Lauderdale. This FREE family-friendly event takes place along the New River at Esplanade Park. After “flip on” the lights along the Riverwalk, attendees will enjoy holiday songs performed by the Broward Center Spotlights and the Fort Lauderdale Symphonic Winds. There will be pony rides, arts & crafts, a petting zoo, face painting, and more!
The holiday season officially kicks off as Riverwalk Fort Lauderdale hosts the popular “Get Lit” event that also marks the launch of Light Up Lauderdale – an annual 10-week celebration of sparkling holiday lights along the banks of the scenic New River. Join us for live holiday musical performances, kids’ crafts, a visit by Santa, and more!

FREE EVENT The magic of the holiday season comes to the Galt Ocean Mile on Thursday, November 30, 2023 from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. The City of Fort Lauderdale and the North Beach Restaurants and Shoppes present an enchanted evening of live music, entertainment, food, and fun for the entire family. The event features live bands along NE 33rd Street, a kid’s zone plus food and drink specials from more than 15 restaurants and bars. Get ready for dancing in the streets at hottest holiday light up event in town with Light Up Sistrunk on Friday, December 1, 2023 from 5 to 9 p.m. This event takes place on Sistrunk Boulevard between NW 9th and 11th Avenues. This one-of-a-kind celebration features the lighting of a giant holiday tree, live bands, outstanding entertainment, a free toy giveaway, a health fair, food trucks, a kids zone complete with Santa, bounce houses, slides, and arts and crafts plus a teen area with a DJ, activities, and more.
