The V&E Restaurant group is pleased to announce the expansion, of its widely popular and successful chain of Cuban restaurants known as “Havana 1957”, with a fourth location at The Shops at Pembroke Gardens, Pembroke Pine’s lifestyle center for shopping and dining.
“Unlike other traditional Cuban restaurants, Havana 1957 sets itself apart by creating a unique dining experience that re-enacts the glorious and glamorous old Cuba of the 1950’s.” said Eduardo Aroaz, Founder of Havana 1957. Each restaurant combines the flavors of authentic Cuban cuisine, classic Cuban music and vintage memorabilia bringing Cuba Nostalgia to each neighborhood.
Like all other locations, Havana 1957 Pembroke Pines is decorated with antiques and Havana’s biggest legends and famous prints, yet one of the most outstanding features of the restaurant is The Mojito Bar, which stocks over 120 varieties of rum from around the world. Here guests can enjoy Un Dia en la Habana sipping a Cuba Libre or Mojito cocktail while listening to the greats of Classic Cuban music. Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights are filled with fun, entertainment, y vida with a trio band that provides a lively ambiance that can only be complimented with a cocktail and friends.
Havana 1957’s extensive menu contains genuine Cuban dishes that taste just like Abuela’s recipes; using the freshest ingredients and perfecting each detail of the presentation. The menu includes the Havana 1957 Specialty (family traditional roasted chicken in a savory Cuban gravy served with white rice, black beans, salad and sweet plantains.) Havana 1957 also offers delicious daily lunch specials, sandwiches, salads, soups and appetizers such as croquetas and tostones rellenos (stuffed green plantains with beef or shrimp). Irresistible desserts include the guava cheesecake. If these Abuela – approved recipes clash with your diet, Havana 1957 offers a Skinny Menu,“El Habanero Delgado”, with the same great taste at half the calories. Let’s not forget the flavorful bar bites, which consist of miniature pan con bistec and masitas de puerco.
