Plantation Junior Woman’s Club presents the 52nd annual Art in the Park “Splash into the Arts” November 10-11 at Liberty Tree Park in Plantation. This two day festival showcases over 100 vendors selling fine arts, handicrafts, and artisan made items. Local sponsoring businesses share in making this event a success. On the main stage, visitors will enjoy free live entertainment from the bands Retrio, Homegrown Sinners, Nobody’s Fault, Pro Music Plus and presentations from our local dance companies and the South Florida Cloggers. A kids corner includes Bounce house and obstacle course fun, face painting, games and free entertainment including animal encounters, performances from local dance companies, music dance party and more. Food and beverages will be available for sale including a Craft beer and wine tent. Winners from the 2018 Art Search contest will also be on display.

Funds raised by Art in the Park (founded in 1966) are returned to the local community through many different projects. Past beneficiaries have included the Plantation High School Art Club, City of Plantation Summer camp program, and South Plantation High School Friends of the Theater along with helping to fund scholarships for two graduating Plantation area high school seniors.

The Plantation Junior Woman’s Club (PJWC) was founded in 1960 and its membership is made up of active women in the community. One of many goals of PJWC is the betterment of the community through various service projects as well as supporting the Make A Wish Southern Chapter.

“Helping to plan this years festival has allowed me to meet so many community members that have been so willing to take part and make the 52nd Art in the Park the best one yet! ” says Jamie Eisenstein, Art in the Park Chair

“Art in the Park is a long standing Plantation tradition. The event has something for everyone from families, art enthusiast, and music lovers. Strolling around the park with an ice cold beer is the perfect way to spend a weekend, that makes Art in the Park so popular. My business, the Amy Kilcoyne Real Estate Team has been supporting and participating in Art in the Park for the past 4 years. It’s a wonderful community event to support as a small business owner.” Amy Kilcoyne, Amy Kilcoyne Real Estate Team with Keller Williams Realty
