Special Guest on Friday Tom ‘Bull’ Hill
We are honored to have Tom ‘Bull’ Hill attend on Friday March 15th 2019 when he will share with us about his mission and the journey he is on. In a heroic effort to turn the spotlight on Cancer in the fire service and to work toward Cancer Presumption legislation, “Bull” made an epic journey on foot, 640 miles, walking all the way from Key West to the State Capitol in Tallahassee. His story is truly amazing and really brings to light the disproportionate extent to which cancer affects those in the fire service.
A Little Bit of History
In 2010 the parade theme changed to pay tribute to the International Emergency Services community (Firefighters, Police, Paramedics).
The parade is a 501c3 non-profit organization providing exciting entertainment for the entire parade weekend.
From Miami up to Martin County, twelve fire department ladder trucks from twelve different Florida municipalities represent their communities by pairing up in two’s and hanging six flags across the parade street for all to pass under that creates a magnificent civic work of art. To date the parade has been host to uniformed personnel from many countries including Canada, Ireland, Belgium, Australia, and across the continental United States.
