Greater Fort Lauderdale Food & Wine Festival Announce New Host Venue

The 3rd Annual Greater Fort Lauderdale Food & Wine Festival (GFLFW), will take place Monday, January 10 – Sunday, January 16, 2022, throughout Broward County. Organizers revealed an all-new host site for the 2022 Festival’s Grand Tasting and FREE Family Day presented by Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital (JDCH), in the heart of Fort Lauderdale Beach at Las Olas Oceanside Park.

“Last month we were excited to announce that the Festival was moving from March to January, and today, we couldn’t be happier to announce Las Olas Oceanside Park as the new venue for the Festival’s Grand Tasting and Family Day events,” said Festival co-founder Kate Reed. “After a year hiatus and a reimagined festival due to COVID precautions, the reception we’ve received not only from the City of Fort Lauderdale, but from local businesses and brands has been overwhelming. We look forward to welcoming our neighbors and visitors around the world while showcasing the culinary talent that resides in Broward County.”

Rounding out the Festival’s signature events is Cocktail Confidential, taking place at Rooftop @1WLO, and sponsored by Rooftop @1WLO, The Restaurant People and TRP Taste. The ‘spirited affair’ will feature 3 signature cocktails crafted by a master mixologist with light bites by TRP Taste’s renowned culinary team. New to the Festival’s signature line-up of events is its Poolside BBQ Battle, which will take place at Hyatt Centric Las Olas, and includes a star-studded lineup of local and celebrity chefs featuring FOX’s Master Chef Season 7 winner, Chef Shaun O’Neale, and Chopped Champion from Handsome Devil BBQ, Chef Ed Randolph.

In addition to its signature events, the Festival will be expanding in 2022 to feature a chef-driven dining series and an educational series with a variety of food and beverage classes. Details about the dining series and educational series, including ticket availability and partners, will be announced in the coming months.

“Adding a chef-driven dining series to the 2022 Festival was an easy decision for us,” said Festival co-founder Phil Marro. “After selling out all our chef dinners in 2021, it became apparent that there is a local demand for these types of events and there is certainly no shortage of creative restaurant partners.”
