Orange Blossom Festival, Parade and Rodeo in Davie

For 83 years, residents of Davie and neighboring towns look forward to one particular event each year. And this year, The Town of Davie Orange Blossom Festival, Parade and Rodeo will have enough events to cover 3 days beginning Friday, February 28th and continuing with a series of family friendly activities until Sunday, March 1st, 2020. As with last year, The 83nd Annual Orange Blossom Festival, Parade and Rodeo will kick off on Friday night with a free concert by local Classic Rock cover-band Rema Dee starting at 6:00pm at the Old Davie School Historical Museum, 6650 Griffin Road, Davie.  There will be also be Arts & Craft vendors, a bounce house, petting farm and food trucks.  The public is invited to bring chairs and blankets and enjoy an evening of live music.

On Saturday, the Orange Blossom parade will kick off at 10:00 a.m. and proceed down Davie Road, from 39th St. to Orange Drive.  Take note that this section of Orange Drive will be closed off during the festival.  Free activities for Saturday and Sunday include Live Music, Youth Entertainment, an Animal Petting Farm, Cowboy Town, Wild West Shoot­outs and re-enactments, Farmer Market and a Kids Korner.

The Festival will feature over 250 displays, and will take place down Orange Drive from Davie Road west to S.W. 66th Terr. Free activities for both days include arts & crafts show, musical entertainment, youth performers, animal farm, western displays, green product displays , and wildlife shows. After the parade, attendees will enjoy live bands, wildlife exhibits, a kids corner, vendors, food area, and don’t forget to visit the Woman’s Club for the Strawberry Shortcake Festival, they will be serving fresh strawberries and homemade shortcake. There will be Old-Fashioned Activities at the Pioneer Village, Old Davie School , 6650 Griffin Road, at 12:00 pm -2:00 pm. In addition, ticket holders will be able to attend The Davie Pro Rodeo  on Saturday, February 29th at 7:30 pm at Bergeron Rodeo Grounds.

Strawberry Shortcake Festival (9am)

On Saturday and Sunday there will be an old fashioned Strawberry Festival at the Davie Woman’s Club located on Orange Drive, on the festival grounds.  Fresh strawberries and homemade shortcake will be served as well as other strawberry creations.
