After 34 years of calling the sands of Pompano Beach home, the 2019 Pompano Beach Seafood Festival will be moving to the Pompano Beach Community Park & Amphitheater, for the 2019 season beginning Friday, April 26 and continuing daily until Sunday April 28. Beachfront Development and ongoing construction have made it increasingly difficult to accommodate an event of the size and scope of the festival. Vendors and attendees have found beach access more limited with each passing year. While the oceanfront setting will be missed, the move is looking more and more like a blessing in disguise according to festival organizers.
The Community Park is a beautiful setting, located at the intersection of Federal Hwy (US1) and 10th Street in the heart of Pompano Beach. This location will provide more space for food, arts and crafts and vendor displays, a 3,000 seat Amphitheater for national acts and much improved parking options both on-site and nearby.
The Pompano Beach Seafood Festival is an iconic South Florida charity event and has always enjoyed a great partnership with the city. This year, in particular, the City of Pompano Beach Mayor, Commissioners, City Manager and City staff have all given their support to make this transition a great success.
Attendees can expect an exciting and extensive musical lineup performing on two outdoor stages plus the amphitheater’s concert stage. Headliners will include “Zach Deputy” on Friday night, “Foghat” and “The Guess Who” on Saturday, and “Inner Circle” on Sunday. Other stages will feature many of south Florida’s most popular local acts.
Layouts, details, vendor rates, and admission prices will all be available shortly. Keep an eye on the event site: www.pompanobeachseafoodfestival.com for more details to come.
