South Florida is booming with incredible culinary talent and Society 8 Hospitality wants to give one lucky Chef the tools they need to launch their concept and succeed in the fast-paced food & hospitality industry. One lucky winner will receive critical one-on-one mentorship from thought leaders in the food and hospitality industry as well as assistance with all startup costs and a Kiosk at Fort Lauderdale’s hottest dining destination; Sistrunk Marketplace.

A review committee will select individual concept submissions by May 3rd.
The first phase is our Online Fan Vote, contestants information is posted and they are given a link to have their biggest fans and our public spectators vote for their favorite food concepts. Online voting ends May 13th when 20 finalists will be announced.
The next phase will consist of 4 in-person elimination rounds. Each round will take place in front of an esteemed panel of judges featuring local notables and South Florida food journalists from local media outlets.
The inperson rounds are as follows:
TASTE: 20 Contestants bring prepared dish for each judge & present concept (Tuesday 5/17)
PRESENTATION: 8 remaining contestants- Evaluation of freshly prepared dishes & plating- (Tuesday, 5/24)
SALES: 4 remaining contestants – Evaluation of freshly prepared dishes & plating ((Tuesday, 5/31)
FINAL REVIEW : 3 final contestants judged on Overall Performance to declare the winner (Thursday, 6/2)
